Dr. Champake Mendis, a Data Scientist associated with ANZICS (The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society), brings over two decades of extensive experience in the ICT industry. Holding a PhD in Computing and Information Systems and an M.Eng.Sc in Bioinformatics from the University of Melbourne, Dr. Mendis currently serves as a key member of the ANZICS CORE Registry Team. In this capacity, he contributes significantly to the 'Development of the National Critical Care Research Platform,' a special joint project aimed at improving patient outcomes. His expertise extends to information and cyber security, making him a versatile professional. Beyond his corporate roles, he has made substantial contributions to academia as an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University, actively participating in PhD supervision and conferences on Cyber Security, AI/ML, and Project Management. He is also a senior member of IEEE and EMB Society, member of AISA.
