Two-fingered zoom on iPad

Rob,

I tried to post this at the end of the zooming thread and got an error and the message was not saved. Presumably, because the thread was tagged solved.

I have just checked on Safari on my iPad (IOS9), the two-fingered drag still causes zooming. Chrome still generates the unsupported browser error.

Regards,

Roger

Roger,

we do not detect the difference between two fingers pressed moving together or two fingers pressed changing position relative to each other. So two fingers pressed on a iPad results in a pinch. But I don't see the problem, it is just as easy or even easier to swipe with just one finger pressed and this is supported.

Rob

Roger,

  1. two finger pinch on a mac is different than pinch on a iPad. A pinch on a iPad results in a zoom and that's the default, expected, behavior, if you want to scroll just use one finger.
  2. Google Chrome on a iPad is not supported, only Safari is.

Rob

Rob,

I did not mean a pinch. I am talking about a two-fingered swipe—both fingers moving together, not changing position relative to each other. This causes a change in size, though the effect is nothing like as fast as he pinch.

Regards,

Roger
