Access public maps with free subscription

I cannot find the answer to this in the FAQ. If I mark a map as public that exceeds the limits of a free account, will someone with a free account being able to view the map in its entirety?

Hi Roger,

yes, users with a free account can view the map completely, but in read-only mode (grey background).
